Overview
You’ll shape and optimise world‑class digital experiences across British Gas ecommerce products. Your focus will be on driving commercial performance while improving the end‑to‑end customer journey, working closely with digital, commercial and marketing teams to increase conversion and customer satisfaction.
About the role
You’ll own the ecommerce performance for your product area, using data and customer insight to continuously improve digital journeys and content. You’ll set clear goals and roadmaps, test and learn at pace, and balance customer needs with commercial outcomes.
- Owning ecommerce performance, with a focus on acquisition, retention and seamless digital journeys
- Defining and delivering product goals including conversion, average order value, NPV and NPS
- Using data, insight and user feedback to identify opportunities and prioritise improvements
- Leading a test‑and‑learn approach using qualitative and quantitative methods (A/B testing, MVTs, user research)
- Setting and communicating clear roadmaps and OKRs aligned to business and customer needs
- Monitoring market trends, competitors and partnership opportunities
- Working collaboratively with commercial, legal, regulatory and support teams to deliver compliant, scalable launches
- Supporting and developing cross‑functional delivery teams and ways of working
What we’re looking for

- Experience as a Digital Product Manager within ecommerce or digital environments, working in agile teams
- Strong understanding of digital customer journeys and conversion rate optimisation
- Confident working cross‑functionally with product, design and technology teams
- Experience using customer research, testing and experimentation to inform decisions
- A data‑driven mindset with strong prioritisation and problem‑solving skills
- Clear, confident stakeholder communication, able to simplify complex topics
