The Solar Commercial Analyst plays a critical part by managing all aspects of solar reporting, including management information and partner invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in line with contract terms. This role provides insights into partner performance, supports process and proposition optimisation, and drives growth in the Partnership channel. With full account management of solar referral partners, the Analyst helps ensure strong commercial performance and excellent service for partners and end customers.
About the role:
- Work with partners across Solar to pull together KPI’s across all the different partners to create a central reporting dashboard.
- Work with internal salesforce systems to pull together customer insights, performance and process at all stages through the sales funnel.
- Manage adhoc reporting & analysis requirements from senior stakeholders to understand specific performance areas.
- Review partner reporting to understand performance against SLA and performance targets.
- Reviewing the market information to understand the key insights and trends impacting Solar & EV (Competitor offers, Market level Sales and Installs, Investments and Acquisitions).
- Supporting with the data and insights and updates for regular performance meetings (Weekly trading meetings, Monthly MPR etc.).
- Supporting with the reporting and insights for regular partner performance reviews.
- Supporting with the partner financial and planning process on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Working closely with Partner management teams to understand and review performance in line with forecasts.
- Working across all of the different reports and teams that impact the Solar P&L and proactively recommending process improvements.
- Supporting with business cases and new offers that the team are looking to test.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
- Proficiency / Experience in Power BI and Salesforce systems and reporting desirable but not essential.
- Interest in Decarbonisation Technology, Automotive industry, Energy industry, EV charging & Solar are advantageous.
- Strong influencing and communication skills to operate successfully across the matrix organisation.
- Strong external partner performance management skills to influence and improve commercial performance.
- Highly numerate with good accuracy, attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Experience of working across a wide group of stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of what great customer service looks like for our customers and our people.
- Identifies and builds key relationships quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to produce clear, concise documents and analysis using PowerPoint and Excel to facilitate comprehension and clear decision making.
- Performs effectively when faced with time pressures, adversity, disappointment, or opposition.
