Location: UK / Ireland | Hybrid (home, office & field)

Reporting to the HSE Director, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping HSE performance across complex, operational environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of HSE specialists, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Drive the delivery of the Retail HSE strategy, aligned to corporate standards and regulatory requirements
  • Partner closely with operational and commercial leadership, particularly across Business-focused and customer-facing operations, to proactively manage risk
  • Oversee contractor HSE performance across large-scale, field-based activity
  • Ensure robust incident investigation, learning and continuous improvement across the business
  • Support safe introduction of new products, services and operational delivery models
  • Provide expert HSE advice to senior leaders and influence decision-making at scale
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior HSE leadership role within utilities, energy or a regulated operational environment
  • Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and embedding HSE culture across operational teams
  • Deep knowledge of UK/Irish HSE legislation and management systems (e.g. ISO 45001 / ISO 14001)
  • Experience managing contractors and complex supply chains
  • Expertise in incident investigation, risk management and driving measurable HSE improvements
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IOSH membership (chartered status desirable)
