As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will design, build and support strategic applications across our Trader Marks and Market Data platforms. Working primarily with C#/.NET, Azure, modern web technologies and AI-assisted engineering tools, you will deliver scalable solutions that support trading, risk, analytics and operational teams across Centrica Energy. You will work closely with engineers, architects, traders and analysts to deliver secure, resilient and high-quality software, while helping drive adoption of modern engineering and AI development practices.
We embrace ‘flexible first’ as our guiding principle for flexible and hybrid working, which balances work, the team, and the individual need for flexibility. This role is based out of our London office, close to Marble Arch, with the team typically coming in 3 days per week.
Here’s what we need you to do:
- Design, develop and support full-stack applications using C#/.NET, Azure and modern web technologies
- Build APIs, microservices and event-driven solutions
- Integrate market data, cloud services, ETRM platforms and vendor systems
- Deliver secure, resilient and observable solutions aligned to engineering standards
- Use AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity and quality
- Contribute to solution design and architecture decisions
- Implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and automated testing
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver platform enhancements
- Support production incidents and continuous improvement activities
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practice
What we’re looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience building APIs, microservices, event-driven systems and distributed architectures
- Experience developing modern web applications using React, Angular or similar frameworks
- Experience with containerisation and cloud-native development
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, resilience, observability and security
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data-intensive applications
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code and automated testing
- Experience using Azure DevOps and Agile delivery approaches
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot or Cursor
- Experience building AI-enabled applications or integrating LLM capabilities
- Understanding of RAG, prompt engineering and agent-based solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
