We have an exciting opportunity for a
Senior Financial Crime Due Diligence Manager to join our Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Ethics & Compliance and Secretariat (LRECS) function.
In this role, you'll lead Centrica's Financial Crime Due Diligence (FCDD) function, ensuring robust oversight of financial crime risks across our third-party relationships and supporting the business in meeting its regulatory and legal obligations.
As the Group's subject matter expert for financial crime due diligence, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to shape standards, strengthen controls and embed best practice.
Location
Ideally you'll be within commuting distance and able to travel to our Windsor office (until December 2026) and Reading office (from January 2027) when required.
We're also open to considering candidates based elsewhere across the UK.
What you'll be doing: Lead, develop and manage the Group Financial Crime Due Diligence team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Own and continually enhance FCDD procedures, standards and quality assurance processes across Centrica.
Provide oversight of third-party onboarding, reviews and monitoring activity, ensuring governance requirements are consistently met.
Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure service delivery expectations and SLAs are achieved.
Produce and present management information, insights and risk updates to business leaders and governance committees.
Support and deputise for the Head of Financial Crime when required.
Collaborate on the design, implementation and ongoing development of the Group Financial Crime Framework.
Provide expert guidance on financial crime risks, emerging regulations and due diligence best practice.
Support governance, training and awareness initiatives across the business.
Coach and develop Due Diligence Analysts through effective leadership, training and performance management.
Here's what we're looking for: Significant experience leading due diligence or financial crime teams within a regulated environment.
Strong understanding of financial crime regulations and the application of effective due diligence frameworks and controls.
Proven experience delivering business-wide compliance programmes and operating within a three lines of defence model.
Ability to influence, challenge and engage senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
Excellent leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to balance business objectives with regulatory and risk management requirements.
ICA, ACAMS or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Knowledge of the energy sector would be advantageous.
