This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding Centrica’s physical assets by providing technical support and contributing to the continuous improvement of our security infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our electronic security systems.
  • Providing technical support to ensure the safety and security of our physical assets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Applying your knowledge of security principles and IT systems to deliver effective solutions.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Identifying and resolving technical issues related to security systems, including hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Assisting in the design, deployment, and integration of new security systems and technologies.
  • Acting as a liaison between Security Management, project managers, vendors, and business units to support access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV queries.
  • Responding to security incidents and assisting in investigations to identify root causes.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Supporting governance of access control, particularly in restricted areas, in line with Centrica standards.
  • Producing clear and accurate reports on system performance for audit, compliance, and risk management.
  • Working with the Security Systems Manager, Global Operations Centre (GOC), and contractors to manage systems and follow up on remedial actions.
  • Participating in post-incident reviews and debriefs to support continuous improvement.
