Lead procurement within your Group Function and Business Units, focusing on cost minimisation, risk mitigation, and achieving key objectives. The day to day:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for Technology, Indirect, and Centrica Energy.
- Ensure efficient, cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
- Maintain high standards of quality and strong supplier relationships.
- Lead procurement within Group Function and Business Units.
- Create long-term strategic plans and foster a high-performance culture.
- Drive cost minimisation and risk mitigation.
- Manage spend and consolidate global supply chains.
- Continuously improve procurement processes in line with Group Procurement standards.
- Bridge business, development, and IT operations.
- Identify risks and provide summaries for stakeholders.
- Support technology process enhancements.
- Improve reliability, efficiency, and satisfaction.
- Identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Develop frameworks for product analysis and service management.
- Integrate new solutions and technologies.
- Coordinate resolution efforts.
About You:
- Extensive experience in procurement for large, complex companies, particularly in Indirect and Technology services.
- Skilled in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimisation.
- Familiar with best practices in procurement operations and risk management.
- Ability to understand and leverage cost, value, and strategy drivers.
- Think laterally, globally, and creatively to add value. Anticipate future trends and adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Proven leadership in developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Experience leading, developing, and motivating cross-functional international teams. Ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
- Progressive experience in Category Management and process improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, and Scrum methodologies. Identify opportunities for service reliability, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making. Conduct diagnostic analysis to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost analysis.
