About your role:
We are seeking a Transition Lead to join our Finance Transformation team and drive the successful migration of finance processes, systems, and operations into a hybrid shared services model. This pivotal role will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of transition activities, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption. Acting as the central point of leadership, you will deliver a seamless transformation that enhances efficiency, safeguards compliance, and maintains service excellence across the organisation.
Location: The successful person would be required to commute to our head office in Windsor (SL4 5GD) circa 3 times per week.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Create and deliver a clear transition roadmap with defined milestones and resources.
- Lead the migration of finance processes into the shared services model, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across finance, shared services, and external partners to secure alignment and support.
- Drive knowledge transfer and training to build capability within the shared services team.
- Safeguard service continuity by monitoring performance and implementing contingency measures.
- Partner with technology teams to enable system integration and accurate data migration.
- Track progress against success metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements and follow governance frameworks.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transitions or migrations, ideally within finance shared services or similar programmes.
- Strong understanding of finance processes and shared services operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, a related discipline or accountancy qualification.
- Professional project management certification (e.g., APM, PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven expertise in risk management, problem-solving, and delivering results under pressure.
- Proficiency in finance technologies and tools such as ERP systems and workflow automation platforms.
