About your team: At British Gas, our mission is to sell it and mend it. We’ve been powering the UK’s homes and businesses for over 200 years – but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK greener and more energy efficient, getting closer to Net Zero. By using clever tech like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers, we’re making it cheaper and easier for our customers to reduce their carbon-footprint.
About your role: We need Electricians to join our team of experienced Field Engineers, to ensure that our customers get the help they need when they need it. Base Salary is £39,797 with uncapped OTE - £48,000 is a realistic expectation through our fantastic field reward scheme. Being there for our customers is our priority. You will play a pivotal part in our British Gas' Service Promise! of same day fix for our customers.
As a British Gas Electrician, you will bring us your extensive experience in all aspects of domestic electrical work including fault finding, installation and rewires (this would typically be a minimum of 2 years’ qualified experience). Your customer service skills and ability to solve problems will enable you to diagnose defects and work safely to ensure a first-time fix for your customer and promote British Gas products and services by giving professional advice.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent), culminating in a Level 3 Technical Certificate including the National Electrotechnical Training (NET) AM2 certificate.
- Evidence to show that you have been working in the electrical industry for a period of time.
- Up to date City & Guilds 2382 - B.S. 7671 IET Wiring regulations certificate.
- A City and Guilds 2391.52 (or equivalent) would be desirable.
