Overview
The Offshore Operations Technician maintains plant equipment, buildings and site to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role includes electrical maintenance, supporting plant operators and optimizing plant efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Operations Supervisor.
- Monitor the DCS & F&G/ESD control systems, ensuring plant operates safely and efficiently in compliance with company procedures.
- Respond to F&G/ESD alarms and provide the first response to any platform status changes or emergencies.
- Monitor and control hydrocarbon flows and plant conditions, report malfunctions, make recommendations, and carry out necessary adjustments.
- Prepare plant/equipment for maintenance work and undertake re‑commissioning/re‑start activities.
- Support the Supervisor within the PTW process to design, verify and apply isolations.
- Utilize operations experience to add value to work planning, assist with permit verification walks when required.
- Deputise for Supervisor as PTW issuing authority when required.
- Ensure field and plant flows are maintained to platform requirements and specifications.
- Control and monitor plant operations, identify abnormal situations and take appropriate actions.
- Carry out site checks and gas checks before commencing work.
- Assist in shutdown and start‑up of plant and equipment.
- Safely recover plant from shutdown situations to minimise production losses.
- Carry out process system sampling, plant inspections, isolations, gas tests, chemical injections, etc. Ensure all production reporting requirements are carried out.
- Complete detailed written and verbal shift handovers using appropriate logs and procedures.
- Contribute to safety initiatives and role‑model company safety culture.

- Proven communication skills.
Education
HNC or equivalent in Operations, engineering discipline or Safety qualification.
