We're looking for five talented and experienced Senior Programme Managers to help lead the way.
These are critical roles within Centrica's Group Transformation function, responsible for leading, supporting and owning complex, high-impact programmes that transform how we serve customers, operate our business, and enable a sustainable energy future. You'll be working across multiple parts of Centrica - partnering with senior leaders, technology teams, and delivery partners to ensure our strategic initiatives are executed with pace, precision, and purpose.

What You'll Do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of major programmes that directly support Centrica's strategic priorities - from fixing customer issues and reducing costs, driving commercial growth, and investing to create value.
- Shape programme vision, strategy, and structure - translating high-level goals into clear delivery roadmaps, measurable KPIs, and tangible business outcomes.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams (internal and partner-based) to deliver at scale and speed.
- Drive strong governance, financial control, and benefits realisation, ensuring every pound of investment delivers value.
- Build trusted relationships with Directors and Executives across Retail, Group, Technology, Operations, and Finance.
- Coach and mentor Programme Managers and Project Managers, building capability across our group-wide transformation community.
- Embed best-practice delivery disciplines and continuous improvement across the programmes you lead and business teams you support.

We're looking for change leaders who bring structure, pace, and confidence to complex change - experts that can translate strategic intent into tangible outcomes. To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
- Experience in programme or large-scale project delivery within a regulated, customer-centric or operationally complex industry (energy, utilities, financial services, telecoms, or similar).
- Proven success leading multi-workstream change initiatives (£5m-£20m) from initiation through to benefits realisation.
- Demonstrable experience of working within hybrid or matrix organisations - managing internal teams, third parties, and partners.
- Experience balancing technology and business change delivery, ideally in digital, customer, or operational transformation contexts.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong governance and delivery management capability - able to design and maintain control frameworks that ensure quality without stifling pace.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills - able to engage, challenge, and gain trust across senior levels.
- Commercially astute with sound financial management skills and a focus on benefits realisation.
- Confident communicator with strong storytelling and presentation skills, able to translate complex information into clear messages.
- Experience applying Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies, and knowing when to flex each approach.
- Skilled in using data and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, RAID logs, dashboards) to drive transparency and insight-led decisions.
- Strong problem-solving mindset - able to anticipate risks, navigate ambiguity, and make informed decisions quickly.
