This is a standout opportunity to step into a broad actuarial role, where you'll work across capital, risk, regulatory reporting, and model development, not just one narrow discipline. You'll play a key role in supporting our Solvency II partial internal model, contributing to capital decision-making and regulatory insight, while working closely with the Head of Financial Risk & Actuarial on high-profile activities such as the ORSA and Actuarial Function Report.

Location: We offer a hybrid approach, with home working alongside time in our Windsor or London offices for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of regulatory and economic capital results for senior stakeholders
  • Run elements of the capital model and produce high-quality, review-ready outputs
  • Contribute to validation, testing, and internal controls for PRA submissions
  • Support wider capital and strategic initiatives
  • Enhance and develop components of the Solvency II internal model
  • Build forecasting tools and GLMs to generate business insights
  • Identify opportunities to use modelling to inform commercial decision-making
  • Drive process improvement across the capital team
  • Support production of key deliverables including the ORSA and Actuarial Function Report
  • Contribute to stress and scenario testing and review of technical provisions
  • Support oversight activities across underwriting, dividends, and risk appetite
  • Work closely with the PRA compliance team, including horizon scanning and regulatory monitoring

Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance or a consultancy would be desirable
  • Exposure to Solvency II, ideally within capital modelling, reporting, or risk
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
  • Experience with GLMs, simulation, or statistical modelling techniques
  • Coding capability (Python or R) and experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • A confident communicator, comfortable taking ownership and working with non-technical stakeholders
