Partnering with local authorities and associations, we support social housing across the UK - installing, upgrading and repairing heating and electrical systems.

At PH Jones , we're looking for an inspiring and customer-focused Area Manager to lead our Social Housing contract in South London.

What you'll be doing

As an Area Manager, you'll lead and support a team delivering essential services to customers within the social housing sector.

You'll play a key role in ensuring we continue to provide safe, efficient and high-quality services while creating an environment where colleagues can thrive.

You'll work closely with clients, stakeholders and operational teams to drive performance, improve customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Through coaching, leadership and collaboration, you'll help shape a culture that puts customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading and developing a high-performing, customer-focused team.
  • Driving excellent customer outcomes through a right-first-time approach.
  • Using performance data and insights to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Managing client relationships and working collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
  • Supporting the resolution of complex customer issues and identifying opportunities to prevent recurrence.
  • Creating a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring teams have the skills, knowledge and support needed to perform at their best.
  • Managing operational and regulatory risks while maintaining compliance with business and industry standards.
  • Making informed commercial decisions that balance customer, colleague and business needs.

As this role supports customers and teams across South London, regular travel throughout the region will be required, so you'll need to live within a reasonable commuting distance.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally bring

  • Gas qualifications (CCN1 & CENWAT) and technical gas experience is essential.
  • A proven track record of leading, motivating and developing successful teams.
  • Experience delivering strong customer outcomes within a regulated or operational environment.
  • The ability to use data and performance insights to drive improvement and achieve results.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • An understanding of health, safety and compliance responsibilities.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to make balanced business decisions.
  • Knowledge of data protection and information security requirements.
