Product and Pricing Systems Specialist – British Gas
Join British Gas’s Product & Pricing Change Delivery team. In this role you’ll bridge commercial strategy and technology, driving the design, testing and delivery of product and pricing changes for millions of customers.
Key responsibilities
- Own product and pricing delivery end‑to‑end.
- Lead the delivery of product and pricing changes from idea through to release, ensuring they are implemented accurately across Salesforce systems.
- Take ownership of delivery outcomes, quality and timelines, and maintain strong stakeholder engagement.
- Translate pricing models and commercial requirements into system solutions, ensuring designs are feasible, scalable and aligned to system capability.
- Assess the impact of changes on pricing levels, customer outcomes and risks, spotting unintended impacts early.
- Lead testing, quality and controls, define and execute robust testing approaches, and ensure pricing outputs are accurate, consistent and defensible.
- Maintain audit trails, documentation and governance standards, and use data to validate outcomes and support decision‑making.
- Investigate defects and production issues, drive fixes to root cause and identify opportunities to improve delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering complex system or pricing changes end‑to‑end.
- Strong understanding of pricing models and mechanisms in practice.
- Ability to bridge commercial and technical conversations.
- Strong focus on testing, quality and attention to detail.
- Confidence working with data to analyse and validate outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce platforms in a development role.
