Trade Support is a young, energetic and dynamic team consisting of full-time employees in combination with talented student assistants to add flexibility in skills and working hours to the team. THE ROLE

Your role as a Trading Operations Specialist requires that you thrive when you have to coordinate, prioritize and execute on a variety of complex tasks as you will work between trading and the rest of the organization to optimize our daily operational work and implement new products and markets. Market and system knowledge, training and educating across the team, improving procedures to minimize risk and increase efficiency, coordinate with project stakeholders will amongst others be your tasks and eventually your areas of expertise. This will be balanced against the daily procedures and problem solving with our traders.

Moreover, the role will require shift work, since the team is also responsible for balancing gas positions for British Gas Trading in the UK gas market. The work related to the shift will consist of analyzing the UK and European gas market in order to make the best and most optimal balancing (trading) decisions in the market. You will therefore need to have an analytic and structured approach to new market information and are motivated by having to react quickly to sudden changes in the market conditions. The shifts are structured in 5 weeks shift rotations having 1 week with day shifts, 1 week with evening shifts and every 5th weekend (Our Singapore office will cover night shifts).

Your Background & The Requirements

• You hold a relevant MSc degree (Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar)
• You can cooperate & communicate on all levels
• You speak and write English fluently
• You have experience in being able to work on and lead multiple projects in a self-motivated, flexible and autonomous manner
• You can link your personal and professional skills with these requirements and will add that together with your CV in your motivation letter

• You are familiar with ETRM systems, or thrive when working with IT systems as a specialist and to give input for improvements
• You take pride in discovering and eliminating operational risk w.r.t. people, systems, and markets
• You contribute to a fun, accepting and professional work atmosphere
