You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Group Functions and Technology to turn strategic objectives into clear, actionable solutions, ensuring that every change we deliver is aligned, measurable, and impactful. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of our transformation, influencing how we simplify processes, leverage digital and AI capabilities, and enable Centrica to deliver against its long-term ambitions.
Day to day
- You will shape and define demand, working with stakeholders to take ideas from early scoping through to clear, well-formed business cases that support strategic priorities.
- You will lead requirements end-to-end, from discovery and elicitation through to documentation and sign-off, ensuring clarity, quality and alignment to business outcomes.
- You will engage and influence stakeholders, acting as the bridge between business and technology to align objectives, challenge thinking and drive the right outcomes.
- You will facilitate workshops and drive clarity, running engaging sessions to uncover problems, define processes and agree solutions that are simple, scalable and effective.
- You will support delivery across the lifecycle, working closely with delivery, QA and UAT teams to ensure requirements are understood, traceable and delivered as intended.
- You will drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, coach and mentor team members and enhance the overall quality of delivery across the portfolio.
What we need from you
- You will bring strong experience as a Business Analyst with a proven track record of delivering across complex projects or programmes.
- You will have an excellent understanding and experience of working within Group Functions such as Finance, Procurement and HR, along with how technology (e.g. SAP ERP, SAP Ariba, Workday) supports and enables these areas.
- You will be confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- You will be an analytical thinker, able to interpret data and present meaningful insights to a wide range of business and technology audiences.
- You will be able to identify, document and manage both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they support clear business outcomes including scalability, stability and operational effectiveness.
- You will take ownership of challenges, driving them through to resolution, and supporting delivery end-to-end to ensure requirements are understood, traceable and validated through testing.
- You will have experience in analysing and documenting business processes (e.g. BPMN, EPC), and supporting the creation of business cases that clearly articulate benefits, options and risks, with an appreciation of commercial and financial considerations.
- You will bring awareness of industry and technology trends, ideally within the energy sector, and use this to inform thinking and continuous improvement.
- You will be a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) for experienced BA practitioners.
- You will demonstrate the safe and responsible use of AI tools, with clear knowledge of when AI use is appropriate and strong awareness of accuracy, bias and compliance.
- You will have the strong ability to recognise higher risk scenarios and escalate to governance or security as needed.

That's why we've designed our total rewards to give you the flexibility to choose what you need, when you need it, making sure that you and your family are supported not only financially, but physically and emotionally too.
