About your team: At Centrica Business Solutions, we are proud to partner with over 7,000 organisations globally - helping them to balance planet with profit. We build, operate and maintain onsite, large-scale energy assets like Solar PV and Combined Heat and Power - to help businesses save the planet and save money. We are also transforming the UK’s energy landscape by partnering with landowners and developers to build a 900MW portfolio of new grid-scale solar farms and battery storage assets.
About your role: As a Solar PV Engineer, you will take on a vital role in maintaining and optimising large-scale commercial solar projects. Your expertise will ensure our solar PV systems operate safely, meet the highest industry standards, and comply with all current regulations. This role isn’t just about keeping systems running - it’s about making a real impact on the future of renewable energy. You will travel across the country, bringing your skills to diverse projects and ensuring they are delivered efficiently and on time. Main Responsibilities will be:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair solar PV systems on commercial sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Proven experience with solar PV systems.
- Strong electrical engineering background.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Qualifications Required:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation & AM2
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- CSCS / ECS Gold Card Holder
- C&G 2394/2395 (or 2391 / equivalent) Inspection & Testing - initial verification & periodic inspection would be desirable.
