About your team: At Centrica Energy, our mission is to move it. We're energy movers by nature. We're a global renewable energy trading company which helps move energy from source to use - powering businesses, homes, and societies as they transition to a new sustainable energy future. If the idea of working to create a sustainable energy future also moves you, we may very well be the right place for you. Centrica Technology is a core driver of how we deliver our strategy. You'll join a team modernising our platforms, strengthening cyber and operational resilience, and advancing a product-led way of working that brings engineers, data specialists and business experts together to deliver meaningful outcomes at pace. We're scaling automation and AI from proof-of-concept into real, end-to-end change - improving customer journeys, reducing cost-to-serve, accelerating delivery, and building the digital foundations that underpin everything from energy trading and risk to field operations and critical infrastructure. If you want to work on complex, high-impact problems using modern engineering practices, and help build reusable platforms that will shape how Centrica operates over the next decade, this is the place to do it.

An opportunity to play your part - At Centrica Energy, we use data to drive better decisions and shape a more sustainable future. As a Reporting Manager, you'll be at the centre of that story, delivering clear, insightful reporting that helps senior leaders understand what's happening and what's next. You'll work closely with teams across the business, turning complex data into meaningful insights, improving reporting processes, and ensuring information is accurate, timely and impactful. It's a great role for someone who enjoys collaboration, likes making things better, and wants their work to genuinely influence how the business moves forward.

Day to day: Own and run the Technology budget and forecasting cycle, partnering with Technology teams and Finance to ensure accurate, timely and commercially aligned planning. Track actuals against budget and forecast, investigating variances, maintaining cost models, and identifying cost savings, efficiency gains and investment opportunities. Deliver high-quality regular and ad-hoc reporting for Technology leadership, providing clear, actionable insight aligned to trading performance and P&L outcomes. Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards covering budget performance, KPIs and delivery metrics, working closely with data and Power BI teams to ensure data integrity. Automate reporting and data processes using tools such as Power Platform and Excel to improve efficiency, reliability and scalability. Act as the go-to contact for Technology performance insight, building trusted relationships with Finance, Technology leads and senior stakeholders, and supporting strategic analysis and business cases.

What are the must haves: Significant experience in commodities, or a trading-led commercial environment, where financial performance, volatility, and rapid decision-making are central to success. Significant experience in budget management, financial planning, performance reporting, or operational analysis within a fast-paced, commercially driven setting. Strong numerical and analytical capability, including advanced financial modelling and the ability to work confidently with large datasets and complex cost structures. Proven ability to support and influence P&L-impacting decisions, with a clear understanding of how Technology cost, delivery, and performance shape commercial outcomes. Commercially astute mindset, able to balance financial rigour, operational delivery, and business agility in a dynamic environment. Advanced Excel expertise, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and PowerPivot. Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modelling, DAX, and best-practice data visualisation. Experience automating reporting and data workflows using Power Platform, Fabric, or similar technologies. Strong collaboration with Finance teams, with solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost-allocation processes. Practical exposure to AI and emerging intelligent automation technologies. Background in energy trading or financial services.

Desirable: Experience supporting Technology functions within commodities trading or capital-intensive organisations operating under tight governance and reporting cycles. Familiarity with IT financial management concepts (e.g., run/change cost models, capitalisation, chargeback, allocation modelling). Experience using the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power BI, Power Platform) for reporting and automation. Exposure to IT planning and operational processes.
