Reports to: Operations Manager / Site Manager

Job Type: Full-time, Sunday to Thursday, 42.5 hrs per week (1 hour Lunch)

Salary: Up to Β£45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Through the allocation of heads to tasks, to meet the needs of the operation, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of goods, stock management as well as Health & Safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to complete full and timely pick, pack and dispatch functions in-line with the company KPIs.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail and high standards for quality and performance.
  • Manage KPIs, shift planning, and incident reporting.
  • Strive to improve customer service through accuracy and quality (reduction in mispicks, damages, etc).
  • Complete regular stock counts/PIs accurately and within financial boundaries.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects such as moving stock and development of warehouse space.
  • Be responsible for the daily line management of the Warehouse team.
  • Lead teams responsible for picking, packing, loading & despatching of vehicles.
  • Conduct staff training and development.
  • Successfully manage the daily performance and conduct of the Warehouse team in line with internal procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility around working hours to facilitate holidays/sickness cover.
  • Provide weekly KPI reports to Warehouse Manager on Staff Performance, Health & Safety, and projects being undertaken.

Requirements:

  • Good competency in Excel, Word and WMS systems.
  • Holding a current forklift licence is desirable (counter balance/flexi, bendi).
  • Proven experience of leading and successful performance management and development of a team.
  • Responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant legislation.
  • Work in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Implement the Equal Opportunities Policy into daily activities.
