Job Summary
We are seeking a Cloud Systems Analyst to support the transition of new projects and products from R&D into Cloud Services. This role is not ticket-based operations support, but instead focuses on process refinement, cross-team coordination, and project enablement. You will serve as a central point of connection between Cloud Services, DevOps, R&D, QA, and other stakeholders—ensuring alignment, clear communication, and steady progress across teams.
The ideal candidate brings both a technical foundation and business analysis/project management skills, with the ability to see the big picture and drive collaboration across diverse technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Onboarding: Refine and develop processes for onboarding new projects/products into cloud services, including documentation and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Act as the bridge between Cloud Services, DevOps, R&D, QA, and other technical groups, ensuring smooth collaboration and information flow.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor project deliverables, maintain accountability, and keep momentum through structured follow-up and coordination.
- Project Management Support: Manage documentation, reporting, and tracking of activities across projects.
- Quality & Testing Contribution: Support testing and quality assurance processes as needed to ensure readiness and reliability.
- Process Development: Build, refine, and document processes that impact multiple teams across engineering, operations, and business functions.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud services, systems analysis, or a related technical/project role.
- Solid understanding of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including core concepts such as compute, networking, storage, identity & access management, monitoring, and automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience in process documentation, workflow analysis, and process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams (Cloud Services, DevOps, R&D, QA) and coordinate deliverables in complex environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in project tracking, reporting, and accountability management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment, working independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English for effective collaboration across international teams.
Preferred:
- Experience transitioning products or services from R&D into Production cloud environments.
- Providing operational transition documentation to ensure standard operating procedures are clear, understood, and repeatable.
- Background in enterprise-scale SaaS/cloud services delivery.
- Exposure to testing and quality assurance processes in software or cloud-hosted systems.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure-as-code or containerization tools (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Kanban, or hybrid models).
- Familiarity with system monitoring solutions, particularly DataDog, as well as Cloud Provider tools, such as CloudWatch.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, PMI-PBA, PMP, or Scrum Master).
Why is this role different
Unlike a Cloud Operations Engineer, this position does not focus on resolving support tickets, monitoring systems, or performing day-to-day incident management. Instead, the Cloud Systems Analyst plays a strategic, process-oriented, and collaborative role, ensuring that cloud-based projects are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and with well-documented processes for long-term success.
