Job Summary: This role will be responsible for utilizing a diverse set of cloud technologies to support Centric Cloud Customers, and to help build and maintain a scalable, robust, highly available platform for Centric’s C8 cloud application. This position will report to the Senior Director, Cloud Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve time-critical customer issues in the public cloud
  • Perform customer deployments, migrations and upgrades in the cloud environment
  • Support automation projects including writing coding
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage servers in multiple cloud environments
  • Create, manage, and maintain Cloud networking components
  • Perform backups and restores of database and servers
  • Assist in ensuring security processes are followed and customer data is secured
  • Perform other administrative tasks in cloud environments as directed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Support teams to resolve issues
  • Build effective working relationships with cross-functional team members
  • Make suggestions for process improvements and enhanced operational efficiencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, MIS, or related technology field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years working with Public Cloud infrastructure AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Advanced Linux or Open Source knowledge
  • Expert in Containerization ie Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking and security
  • Infrastructure and Configuration as Code methodologies
  • Detailed knowledge Microservices and DevOps
  • 3+ years in incident response and major incident management
  • Experience with the following technologies: Docker, Rancher, Virtualization, VPN, Kafka, RDP
  • Advanced Linux and Windows experience
  • Experience with the following is highly desirable: Confluence/Jira, Nagios, SSO, and SQL.
