Are you passionate about heartfelt gifting and creating meaningful customer connections? At Joma Jewellery and Katie Loxton, we’re looking for two Gifting & Sales Advisors (Key Holders) who bring energy, warmth, and storytelling to every interaction. This is a unique opportunity to make a huge impact in our first-ever owned flagship retail store in Milton Keynes Central and help shape an exceptional shopping experience from day one.
As a proud brand ambassador, you’ll guide customers in discovering thoughtful gifts that celebrate life’s special moments, delivering personal, unforgettable experiences every time. With your expert knowledge of our products and bespoke personalisation services, you’ll bring our beautiful collections to life in the most memorable way. As a Key Holder, you’ll also play a trusted role in supporting daily store operations—confidently opening and closing the store, inspiring the team on the shop floor, and always leading with positivity and passion. This role is full time and will require flexibility Monday–Sunday within store opening hours.

- Follows all training and operational guidelines to operate the personalisation machinery safely and efficiently.
- Suggests meaningful add‑ons and upsell opportunities to enhance each gift.
- Maintains strong knowledge of current collections, bestsellers, and seasonal product launches.
- Uses storytelling to communicate product USPs and help customers make confident gifting choices.
- Proactively suggests additional items to complete a gift or enhance the customer’s experience.
- Works towards individual and store sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the store’s overall success.
- Resolves or escalates customer complaints efficiently and in line with company policy.
- Confidently uses in‑store systems including till/POS and stock management tools.
- Keeps the shop floor, till area, and personalisation station tidy, presentable, and fully stocked at all times.
- Supports daily replenishment and stockroom organisation where needed.
- Follows display guidelines to showcase product effectively.
- Works collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive team culture.
- Acts as a Key Holder, confidently opening and closing the store in line with company security and operational procedures.
- Supports cash handling, including till reconciliation and safe counts, following all financial controls.
- Takes ownership of the shop floor when management is not present, ensuring high standards and smooth operations.
- Delegates and supports team members on shift to maintain store presentation, service levels and pace.
- Assists with onboarding and buddying new starters, sharing knowledge on service standards, personalisation, and product stories.
- Ensures the store is safe and secure at all times, adhering to health & safety, incident reporting and compliance procedures.
- Helps implement VM and campaign updates by following planograms and providing feedback to the leadership team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer‑facing role.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service with energy and empathy.
- Confidence in speaking to customers, sharing stories, and offering tailored advice.
- Interest in fashion, accessories, jewellery, or gifting.
- Ability to operate simple machinery or follow hands‑on processes (full training will be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality presentation of products.
- Positive, team‑oriented attitude and a flexible approach to shifts and weekend work.
- Confident leading by example and supporting peers to uphold brand standards on shift.
- Strong awareness of store policies including health & safety, cash handling, and store security.
- Capable of using initiative during quieter trade or when leading without direct management oversight.
- Knowledge of upselling techniques.
- Experience working in a premium retail environment.
- Familiarity with personalisation services (e.g. engraving, embossing, etc.).
