We are looking for a highly skilled Early Years Practitioner who is passionate about improving life chances for all through a professional commitment to making a difference for children and young people. As a Senior Early Years Officer in Fife, you will promote children's learning, development and welfare within a nursery context, encourage inclusion, diversity and equality, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to and lead wider development initiatives where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote children's learning, development and welfare in a nursery setting.
  • Encourage inclusion and equality, supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with other stakeholders and contribute to broader nursery development.

Qualifications and Registration:

  • Hold a practitioner level qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young children in a formal setting.
  • Register with SSSC at practitioner level within 6 months of employment and complete required post‐registration training (PRTL).
  • Working knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence, covering child development from birth to 5 years.
  • High interpersonal skills and ability to lead teamwork within the nursery setting.

Other Requirements:

  • Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

Location and Working Hours:

  • Mitchell Street, LEVEN, Fife, KY8 4HJ, GB.
  • 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10.33am – 6.15pm.
