Responsibilities
Plan, facilitate and supervise a wide range of play-based activities and social experiences both in and outdoors. This will include setting up the play space to ensure it is safe, stimulating and welcoming.
Empower children to lead their own play, guiding them as needed to boost their creativity and independence.
Support children to prepare healthy snacks in line with dietary and nutritional need and guidelines.
Support and encourage children to build confidence, self-esteem, and lifelong skills through play and exploration.
Deal with accidents and incidents, responding calmly and professional, ensuring children\’s health and wellbeing needs are met.
The Person
is fun, engaging and has experience of working with children and young people of all ages.
holds a relevant childcare qualification, or is willing to work towards one as required by the Scottish Social Services Council.
is reliable, has good communication skills and can work as part of a team.
