Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Support individuals to develop independent living skills
  • Promote social inclusion and community participation
  • Assist with mobility and moving & handling tasks (including wheelchairs)
  • Support with household tasks, shopping, and appointments
  • Contribute to care plans and maintain accurate records
  • Work flexibly across services based on service user need

The role also requires working unsocial hours including public holidays where necessary.

The Person

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable adults
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work independently and within a team
  • Show flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic care environment

You must:

  • Be willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Hold or work towards SCQF Level 6 (SVQ2) in Social Services & Healthcare
  • Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
