An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our care at home teams in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership localities.
We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of service users in the local communities, you will be a people person who is passionate about supporting our service users to maximise their independence, to remain living in their own homes. You will go home each day with a sense of achievement knowing you have made a difference to those that you support.

- Enhancements for unsocial hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- As thisrole involves attending service user homes, you must be able to travel across the wider Fife area. A vehicle may be provided, but where you are required to use your own vehicle, travel expenses will be paid - we pay 45 per mile to staff using their own car.
- A generous pension scheme and holiday entitlement of 24 days rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service (pro-rata).
- Access to a 4 week comprehensive induction programme and support with a range of training opportunities and qualifications that you will need for the job.
- You will also be provided with a uniform and a smartphone.

The Person
- Caring, compassionate and motivated with good values and a genuine interest in providing quality care and support to service users.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with service users and their families.
- Abilityto work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and be able to put these into practice.
- Hold or be able to work towards SVQ 2 as required by Scottish Social Services Council within the time frames set at point of registration. Once qualification achieved. It is the person’s responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council timeously.
- You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. It is the person’s responsibility to notify the SSSC of any changes to personal or work details timeously.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you\'re registered within the required six months. More details are included in the role profile.
