Role Overview
The role is within the Revenues Helpdesk, providing information and advice to callers regarding council tax or rent.
Contract & Working Pattern
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Working Pattern: 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday 13:00 – 17:00). Hours negotiable after training.
- Location: Bankhead Central, Glenrothes. Blended working available after training.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £29,170.80 – £31,761.26 (pro rata).

Responsibilities
- Provide information and advice to callers regarding council tax or rent.
- Resolve customer enquiries, routine or complex, at first point of contact.
- Handle multiple call types while maintaining excellent customer service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in customer service environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication, including written correspondence.
- Active listening skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to use multiple IT systems.
- Excellent administrative skills.
Additional Requirements
- Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
- Membership of the relevant PVG scheme.
