Role Overview

The role is within the Revenues Helpdesk, providing information and advice to callers regarding council tax or rent.

Contract & Working Pattern

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Working Pattern: 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday 13:00 – 17:00). Hours negotiable after training.
  • Location: Bankhead Central, Glenrothes. Blended working available after training.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £29,170.80 – £31,761.26 (pro rata).

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and advice to callers regarding council tax or rent.
  • Resolve customer enquiries, routine or complex, at first point of contact.
  • Handle multiple call types while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in customer service environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication, including written correspondence.
  • Active listening skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to use multiple IT systems.
  • Excellent administrative skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
  • Membership of the relevant PVG scheme.
