Assistant Cook (Permanent)
Working pattern: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38-week term-time contract.
Location: Glenrothes
Salary: £25,604.23 pro‑rata
Responsibilities
- Preparation of food and beverages in the school kitchen.
- Organisation of the service of food during Breakfast, Morning Break, and Lunch.
- Transporting and serving meals as required.
- General kitchen and dining room duties such as washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables.
- Cleaning of the kitchen, its surroundings and equipment.
- Completing required paperwork including electronic returns.
Qualifications
Catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is required.
Applicant must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before appointment.
Additional Requirements
Attend an induction training day before starting in post.
