Good Housing impacts on so many aspects of our daily lives. As well as being a basic human right, it also encourages a sense of community, helps economies to thrive and creates an environment which people want to protect.

We need you to help us meet our aim to provide everyone with access to good quality, affordable housing that meets their needs. We want to improve the quality of life for people across Fife, and we work with many different organisations, including tenant’s groups, to try to make that happen.

As a Housing Management Officer, you will form part of an Area Housing Team. You will be responsible for a specific neighbourhood, ensuring high quality, well-run estates through the assessment of need of individuals, properties and neighbourhoods, followed by the development of solutions which range from prescribed processes to self-developed initiatives.

You will deliver high-quality landlord services to build stable communities by sustaining tenancies and engaging with customers face to face on a daily basis and partners to make required improvements, which also includes supporting local Tenants and Residents groups. This may require attendance at evening meetings.

You will be able to provide high standards of Customer Care while encouraging and assisting tenants to maintain their tenancy and estates.

The Person

If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we’d like to hear from you:

We are looking for an individual who has working knowledge of the Scottish Secure and Short Scottish Secure Tenancies and who has experience of working with a range of Supports available to tenants. You will have to have experience of partnership working and managing tenancies. You will be committed to assisting tenants to sustain their tenancy, while also taking action against any breaches of tenancy. You will need to have good time management, communications and organisational skills. You will also possess IT Skills. You will be educated to SCQF level 5 or equivalent and you will require (if you do not already hold this) to undertake the SVQ4 in Housing and Housing Law Advice 2 qualifications.
