An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our care at home teams in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, Northeast Fife Locality. We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of service users in the local communities. You will be a people person who is passionate about supporting our service users to maximise their independence, to remain living in their own homes. You will go home each day with a sense of achievement knowing you have made a difference to those that you support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support to service users to maximise independence and enable them to remain living in their own homes.
  • Travel across the wider Fife area to attend service users' homes (a vehicle may be provided; travel expenses are paid if you use your own car).
  • Build effective working relationships with service users and their families and collaborate with other Council services and partner agencies to support care and delivery.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Hold or work towards SVQ 2 as required by the Scottish Social Services Council; inform when the qualification is achieved.
  • SSSC registration: three months to apply for registration; start within six months of appointment.
  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before confirmation of appointment.

  • Salary: FC4 25,885.80 to £28,175.91 (Pro-Rata) with enhancements for unsocial hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • A generous pension scheme and holiday entitlement of 24 days rising to 29 days after 5 years (pro-rata).

  • Uniform and a smartphone provided.
  • Travel support: vehicle may be provided or travel expenses paid if using your own car (45 per mile).
