Location: Bell Baxter High School, Cupar
The Job:
- Assistant Janitors cover all janitorial duties along with cleaning and school crossing patrols as required at Bell Baxter High School.
- 25 hours per week, working from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on a permanent 40-week contract, Monday to Friday.
- You will earn a competitive salary of £25,604.23 to £26,786.83 pro rata and annualised pay.

Key Responsibilities:
- Locking and securing Bell Baxter and schools in the Cupar and surrounding area.
- Undertaking prescribed cleaning procedures as directed in various establishments and ensuring all bodily fluid/spillages are dealt with in accordance with Service guidelines.
- Ensuring that educational establishments and grounds are opened at prescribed times, and that they are secure at the end of the working day.
- Co-operating with all appropriate personnel and agencies in maintaining the security of the premises.
- A willingness to complete additional training as required.
- Responding to emergency callouts in accordance with established procedures, including attending at the location, contacting appropriate authorities, inspecting for damage and theft, effecting repair and where necessary, liaising with contractors/emergency services on site.
- Carrying out prescribed procedures in the event of fire, flooding, accident, or damage including liaising with appropriate staff, contractors etc.
The Person:
- Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
- Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
- You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
