Based at St Brides Primary School, Cowdenbeath. 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday 05:30pm – 9:30pm, on a 40‑week contract. Remuneration: £25,604.23 to £26,786.83 per year, paid 4 weekly and annualised. Scottish Local Government Living Wage £13.64 per hour plus shift payments, including weekends. Eligibility for Fife Pension Fund and access to training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Undertake prescribed cleaning procedures and ensure bodily fluid/spillages are dealt with according to Service guidelines.
- Open and secure educational establishments and grounds at prescribed times.
- Co‑operate with personnel and agencies to maintain premises security.
- Complete additional training as required.
- Respond to emergency call‑outs: attend location, contact authorities, inspect for damage and theft, effect repair, liaise with contractors/emergency services.
- Travel to other locations within the specified area; current driving licence required for council vehicles.
- Carry out prescribed procedures for fire, flooding, accident, or damage; liaise with staff, contractors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
- Ability to provide a regular, effective service alone or as part of a team.
- Driver’s licence required for council vehicle.
- Attendance of an induction training day before starting.
