Job Details

We are looking for a highly skilled teacher who is passionate about improving life chances for all through a professional commitment to making a difference for our children and young people so they can achieve their full potential. As a teacher in Fife, you will be responsible for leading learning within your classroom context, promoting inclusion, diversity and equality, communicating with other stakeholders and contributing to wider improvements across the school community.

Qualifications, Registration and Skill Requirements

  • High levels of interpersonal skills and abilities to work as part of a team to ensure positive outcomes for all children and young people.
  • A commitment to your own professional learning as a practitioner, with career-long professional learning activity that has impacted your practice.
  • Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before confirming your appointment, and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
  • For posts within Primary, full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in Primary.
  • For posts within Secondary, full registration with the GTCS in Secondary for the specific subject.
  • Model all behaviour expected of a teacher in Scotland in line with the relevant Professional Standards.
  • Full registration is required for all Permanent posts; provisional GTCS registration in the relevant sector will be considered for temporary class teacher posts.
  • Candidates holding GTCS registration in Further Education must also hold Primary or Secondary registration to meet essential criteria as determined by Fife Council.
