On the front line of mental health, Centred is an innovative charity that supports people through mental ill health towards mental well-being across Highland. This position is based at our Recovery Centre in Inverness, an award-winning residential centre for people recovering from significant mental ill health.
The Staff Nurse will play an instrumental role in a person’s recovery from mental ill health, forming strong therapeutic bonds with service users. Our nursing staff contribute to the successful support of people experiencing mental ill-health by:
- Working holistically: Enabling and motivating service users to explore, identify and achieve their goals towards mental health recovery.
- Providing high standards of care: Delivering nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and unit monitoring procedures.
- Continuing support for our service users: Carrying out assessments, allocating staff time, setting goals, and reviewing progress.
- Nurturing the next generation: Supervising students and junior staff, assisting with teaching, and providing support to nursing students.

Experience:
- RMN or RMN/RGN.

The appointment is subject to a six-month probationary period with an initial three-month review. The post holder will hold a current and satisfactory PVG scheme membership or secure this prior to commencement. This post is subject to two satisfactory references.
