Centred is a progressive charitable company based in the Highlands that supports people through mental ill health toward mental well-being. Our services are based in Caithness, Easter Ross, Inverness, and Lochaber. Our Centred Recovery Centre, based in Inverness, provides support and accommodation for up to 23 service users.
JOB SUMMARY
We’re pleased to announce an opportunity for Relief Peer Support Worker roles within our Discovery College in Inverness. If you have lived experience and a passion for supporting others, this role allows you to co-facilitate learning, provide peer support, and help individuals build confidence and life skills in a safe and inclusive space. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting individuals who use the Discovery College Lounge within the Peer Support Framework.
- Co-delivering courses alongside community members and past and present students of the college.
- Helping maintain a welcoming and safe space by making refreshments and keeping the lounge tidy.
- Collecting and distributing evaluation forms as required.
- Promoting and communicating Discovery College activities to ensure accessibility for clients and the general public.
- Assisting with service delivery across connection, learning, education, training, and employment services.
- Working closely with colleagues, managers, and external organisations to support individuals in the Discovery College space.
- Upholding co-production, harm reduction, and peer support values in all aspects of work.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety best practices and Centred Scotland’s policies and procedures.
- Providing cover for other members of the Peer Support team and offering direct service delivery as needed.
- Undertaking additional duties as required in line with the role’s responsibilities.

- IT proficiency, including the use of reports, email, intranet, and internet.
- Completion of or willingness to undertake Peer Support Training.
- Commitment to valuing diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusive practices.
- A driving licence is preferred but not essential.
