A Japanese organisation is seeking a Trade & Operations Coordinator. A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential. Additional experience of living in Japan and/or working in a Japanese corporate office, and/or knowledge of Japanese business culture would be beneficial.
Key Tasks:
- Export promotion-related work (Trade) - Responding to inquiries of Japanese product exports and providing information by e-mail, telephone, and in person.
- Collecting information, preparing documents and reports on import and sales regulations and systems in the target countries.
- Responding to consultations from Japanese companies on market research, buyer listings in cooperation with HQ, regional offices, coordinators in the target country.
- Assisting in export promotion-related work.
- General Affairs - Receiving enquiries internally and externally, mainly in English, and passing them on to the appropriate department or the appropriate person.
- Conducting work related to the office environment and facilities, and liaising and coordinating with relevant parties.
IDEAL APPLICANT:
- Solid skills in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Totally fluent English (native level) and business level fluency in Japanese would be highly advantageous.
- A good understanding of social, cultural, and business practices in the UK and the ability to work in a way that builds trust with UK companies.
- Flexible, sociable, and cooperative, with excellent language, communication, and summarisation skills.
- Information-gathering and strong networking skills.
- Reliable person, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks during busy periods.
Employment: Temporary
Working hours: 9.30am to 5.30pm with a 1 hour lunch break
Working place: Office located in City of London (no Hybrid work)
Salary range: Around £13.54 + Holiday Pay (£1.63 – £2.46 depending on the length of working) per hour
Contract period: Provisional for 1 year, with a view to extension
