A Japanese company in London is looking for a PMO for a financial institution system renewal project. You will be responsible for smoothly advancing the project at the overseas branch in conjunction with the accounting system renewal project being carried out in Japan.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Central London (hybrid)
Main Responsibilities:
• Project Progress Management and Reporting
o Belong to the London branch IT team and manage development progress related to the system renewal project
o Prepare and submit progress reports to both the head office (Japan) and the London branch
o Manage requests from the head office to the London IT team, etc
• Coordination and Collaboration
o Work closely with multiple local teams under the London IT team to understand on-site development status
o Relay and manage progress of task requests from the head office to the London IT team as needed
• Execution Structure
o Although working under dispatched staff in the London IT team, proactive and responsible execution is required, acting as a representative of those staff rather than waiting for instructions
Ideal Candidate:
Mandatory
• PMO experience in financial institutions or large-scale projects
• Knowledge of IT system development and renewal projects
• Strong coordination skills and communication ability across multiple departments and locations
• Business-level communication skills in both English and Japanese
Preferred
• Experience working at overseas branches
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server and application maintenance (enough to understand the operational team\’s intentions)
• Ability to proactively identify issues and propose and implement solutions independently
