A Japanese IT service company is seeking an Onsite Helpdesk Engineer for clients in the EMEA region. The role involves providing support for PCs, networks, and cloud environments, as well as managing IT infrastructure operations and project tasks at client sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing IT support to EMEA region users at client locations
  • Handling user interactions via phone, email, collaboration tools, and in-person
  • First-level troubleshooting and escalation for PCs/Laptops
  • Implementing, configuring, and optimising PC and network environments
  • Supporting operations for Windows, Microsoft 365, AD, VPN, Firewall, etc.
  • Building and managing PC/desktop security environments
  • Executing migration plans and implementation tasks
  • Supporting Call Centre systems and DC servers
  • Testing and implementing new features and services
  • Updating and managing ticket systems
  • Coordinating and managing vendors
  • Managing project progress and service delivery
  • Managing maintenance documentation for clients
  • Travelling to client sites as needed (including EMEA and CIS regions)
  • Creating regular reports and coordinating operations between departments and clients

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and AD management
  • Knowledge of AWS/Azure, virtualisation, VPN, Firewall, Switch/Router
  • Experience in IT helpdesk or desktop support
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Business-level English proficiency; Japanese skills are a plus
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Attention to detail, responsibility, and teamwork
  • Professional attitude with flexibility to respond to client needs

Salary: Approximately £32k, depending on experience.

Employment type: Full-time.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Location: London.

Visa: Applicants must hold a visa that allows indefinite work in the UK without sponsorship. Those with YMS or graduation visas with more than 1.5 years remaining may also apply based on experience.
