A foreign bank is currently recruiting a Structured Finance Analyst to join its Structured Finance team in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to develop their career within an international banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence and credit analysis on new project finance transactions and prepare investment proposals for the Branch Credit Committee.
  • Monitor the performance and credit risk of existing project finance transactions.
  • Review borrower consent requests and prepare recommendations for Branch Management and Tokyo Head Office where required.
  • Evaluate financial information and identify potential risks associated with lending opportunities.
  • Provide analysis and reporting to support structured finance activities and investment decisions.
  • Support the Senior Manager and team with administrative tasks, including record keeping, scheduling and documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Branch to ensure efficient transaction management and compliance with internal procedures.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another relevant financial discipline.
  • At least 2 years' experience in project finance, either within a front-office team or a credit risk management function is preferred.
  • Experience gained within a UK, Japanese or other European financial institution is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of project finance transactions and credit analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location and Working Details

  • Location: Central London.
  • Working Style: Hybrid work (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH).
  • Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus.
  • Job Type: Permanent.
  • Working Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday.
  • Start: Negotiable.
