A Japanese trading company specialising in high-performance, Japan-made high-frequency coaxial and differential cables is currently recruiting a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to support business expansion across the EU. In this role, you will be responsible for developing business with connector manufacturers, driving sales growth in commercial and industrial markets such as semiconductor testers, telecom, and data centres.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in B2B technical sales within connectors, interconnects, or high-frequency cable products, and be able to manage complex, multi-stakeholder accounts across Europe. EU-based candidates with flexibility to travel within Europe are preferred. Hybrid or remote working is possible depending on location.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and grow sales with connector manufacturers across the EU
- Build and manage partner relationships with interconnect companies and cable assembly houses
- Support design-in, qualification, and validation activities in collaboration with partners and OEMs
- Manage quotations, pricing negotiations, forecasting, and pipeline activities
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, supply chain teams in Europe and HQ in Japan
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, applications, and industry trends
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B technical sales or business development within connectors, interconnects, cable assemblies, or high-frequency coaxial cables
- Proven experience selling to or partnering with connector manufacturers
- Background in one or more of the following markets: Semiconductor equipment, Test & Measurement, Data Centre / Datacom, Enterprise IT, Industrial
- Good understanding of RF cable performance and design-in/qualification processes
- Fluent English; additional European languages (e.g. German, French, Dutch) highly desirable
- Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally to Japan
