A Japanese company based in Hertfordshire is currently recruiting a Financial Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated to develop their accounting skills and contribute to a supportive finance team.

Employment Details

  • Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Working hours: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday
  • Start: ASAP
  • Location: Hertfordshire

Main Responsibilities

  • Data entry and processing using SAP
  • Payment processing and expense management
  • Invoice issuance and accounts receivable management
  • Bank reconciliation and matching SAP records with bank statements
  • Posting month-end journal entries
  • Fixed asset management and record keeping
  • Supporting audit processes
  • Assisting with budgeting and financial analysis
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Liaising with the Japan HQ regarding approvals, contracts, and IT-related matters

Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of administrative experience
  • Accounting experience is advantageous (training can be provided)
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word)
  • Business-level Japanese and English
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest improvements
  • Knowledge of SAP or IBM Notes is a plus
