An established interactive entertainment company based in West London is currently looking for an Assistant Management Accountant. You will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Planning team across a variety of projects as well as maintaining the day‐to‐day tasks of the management accounting function and providing support to other functions as required.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation and reporting skills, excellent Excel and communication abilities, and be part qualified toward CIMA/ACCA/ACA.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collate and process data accurately for budgeting, forecasting and reporting purposes.
  • Produce regular reconciliations of actuals and forecast data.
  • Support preparation of the financial review package for the monthly board meeting.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to interpret forecast data.
  • Support the Corporate Planning team with production of required reports for meetings in a timely manner.
  • Ensure uploading of actual data onto the forecast system is accurate and timely.
  • Support preparation of cashflow statements and review, liaising with other teams and subsidiaries to ensure accuracy and explain discrepancies.
  • Produce regular tracking reports relating to spend and gross sales.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly analysis reports for Headquarters in Japan.
  • Provide regular analysis reports of budget, actuals and forecast.
  • Maintain master data and process regular data uploading across the forecast system, stock in channel tracking system and expense system.
  • Compile and process data for the financial planning process, including evaluation of budget submissions, mid‐term reviews and future product line‐ups.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in preparing reports, running finance transactions and preparing reconciliations (ideally in a Finance Department).
  • A critical thinker, with demonstrable analytical and problem‐solving skills.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a good understanding of PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP and Oracle Essbase would be advantageous.
  • An aspiring management accountant seeking a long‐term career in accounting.
  • Part qualified, studying towards a CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification essential.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to multi‐task, prioritise workload and take ownership of tasks.
  • Fluency in Japanese verbal and written language skills not essential but advantageous.
