A British travel agency is seeking a lively, intelligent, articulate, and presentable individual to join their small team in London. You must demonstrate a strong interest in Japan, its culture, and language. This role includes opportunities for business trips to Japan.
Salary: £25,000 per annum + generous commission.
Eligibility: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK as the Company is not able to offer visa support. We regret that we cannot accept applications from working holiday, graduate or student visa holders.
Visa status:
- Eligible: Permanent residence, spouse, partner
- Not eligible: Student visa, visa sponsorship required, working holiday, graduate
Work type: Hybrid – starting with one day a week from home, increasing over time.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 17:30.
Start: ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and planning group and independent tours
- Preparing itineraries and quotes
- Preparing confirmed itineraries and documents
- Liaising with all suppliers
- Dealing with clients’ calls and emails
- Assisting customers: after‑sales care
- Traveling to Japan
Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent in English and good command of written and spoken Japanese
- Good knowledge of Japanese culture & geography
- Good attention to detail
- Previous relevant experience useful but not essential
- Positive, friendly, polite, can‑do attitude
