A small, but established company, specialising in researching and advising on Japanese equities, and regulated by the FCA, is looking to expand its business and is seeking a trainee in Equities Research Analysis. You will work with and be trained every step of the way by highly experienced professionals within a team‑orientated and rewarding environment. No previous equity research analysis experience is necessary. You will need both fluent Japanese and native‑level English. This will be an excellent chance to put your Japanese to effective use daily, gain new skills and receive on‑the‑job training.

Work Details
- Type: Permanent, full‑time
- Working hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:30
- Salary: £27–30K depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus

Main Responsibilities
- Gathering, compiling, and organising financial data to support accurate and timely reporting.
- Recording key information during meetings and discussions to maintain clear and organised records, and assisting in drafting financial reports and summaries.
- Collaborating with senior analysts to interpret information, form an opinion, and commit to a recommendation.
Ideal Candidate
- Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment.
