A Japanese financial institution based in London is currently seeking a Corporate Bond Credit Analyst to join their team. This role will involve active participation in investment analysis for credit bond funds, focusing primarily on investment-grade corporate issuers in Europe.
The successful candidate will have +5 years solid experience in corporate credit analysis and a strong understanding of credit markets and bond valuation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis of European corporate issuers, primarily investment-grade companies
- Assess ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) factors and alignment with SDGs
- Evaluate relative value opportunities in EUR and GBP denominated bonds
- Monitor primary markets for senior and hybrid bond issuances
- Provide investment recommendations and related administrative support
- Attend meetings and conferences with issuers, brokers and other market participants
- Support analysts at key clients (mainly the parent company) by sharing issuer and sector analysis
- Liaise regularly with the head office in Japan via online meetings
- Contribute to monthly fund performance reports
Ideal Candidate:
- +5 years’ experience as a Corporate Credit Analyst or in a related field
- Strong understanding of credit markets and bond valuation
- Degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline
- CFA qualification preferred
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Bloomberg skills
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Industrial and/or REIT sectors highly advantageous
- Experience analysing hybrid bonds or high-yield bonds welcomed
