A Japanese entertainment company is currently recruiting a Business Accountant to work at their office in West Greater London. In this role, you will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, banking tasks, monitoring credit insurance, updating process documentation, and providing ad hoc support to the Finance team and European branches as required.

Type: Permanent, full-time

Working Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Start: ASAP

Location: West Greater London

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable duties, including processing goods and services invoices, vendor payments, and liaising with local country teams for query resolution and ledger management
  • Accounts receivable duties, including cash allocations, reconciliations, deduction management, and liaising with local country teams for query resolution and ledger management
  • Banking duties: Help process bank movements and complete daily reconciliations when necessary
  • Monitoring credit insurance as per credit insurance conditions
  • Updating process documentation, recommending and implementing improvements, SOX compliance
  • Ad hoc support to Finance team and European branches as and when required

Ideal Candidate:

  • Solid all-round accounting knowledge
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified or part-qualified beneficial
  • Strong MS Excel ability
  • SAP experience will be advantageous
  • Business level fluency in English
  • Japanese language proficiency would be beneficial
  • Prior experience working in a Japanese company, or in the video game industry, would be beneficial
  • Competent and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly numerate, analytical and literate
  • Motivated to perform own tasks to a high standard, but possessing a flexible team player approach
