A well-known Japanese company is currently recruiting an Accounts Officer to join their small team in West London office. In this role you will be responsible for general accounting tasks. Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be highly advantageous.

WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: Up to £40k, depending on experience, plus good benefits

Accounts Officer Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Management: Journal entries, bookkeeping, and support for monthly and annual closing
- Bookkeeping and Report Preparation: Creating financial statements, income and expenditure reports, and expense management reports
- Budget Management: Supporting departmental budget planning and conducting comparative analysis with actual performance
- Invoice and Payment Management: Issuing invoices, processing expense reimbursements, and following up on outstanding payments
- Liaison with External Accounting Firms: Promptly responding to requests for necessary information and document submissions
- Audit Support: Preparing materials and responding to internal and external audits
- Coordination with Japan Headquarters: Communicating with the head office accounting team and preparing and submitting reports
Accounts Officer Ideal Candidate:
- Practical accounting experience in the UK is required
- Business-level English proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience working at a Japanese company or speaking business level fluency in Japanese is highly advantageous
- Holding a bookkeeping qualification (such as AAT) is preferred
