A Japanese food manufacturing company is currently recruiting a Key Account Manager to work in their Enfield, North London office. In this role, you will be responsible for growing major UK grocery retail accounts and delivering profitable revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have commercial skills, food passion, cultural awareness, and the ability to drive profitable growth.

Key Account Manager Main Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow relationships with key UK grocery retailers
  • Lead Joint Business Plans, delivering revenue, margin, distribution, and rate-of-sale targets
  • Drive range expansion, new product sell-in, and promotional activity
  • Use data to identify issues and opportunities and to inform decisions
  • Act as the commercial voice of the customer internally

Key Account Manager Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of experience managing UK grocery multiples or equivalent key account management experience
  • Proven commercial and negotiation skills with experience driving profitable growth
  • Passion about food and eagerness to learn about Japanese cuisine
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently with incomplete information
  • Comfortable in Japanese corporate culture, respectful, can-do mindset, attention to details, and collaborative
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a less structured and entrepreneurial environment
  • Business level fluency in English
  • Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese language would be advantageous
