An opportunity has arisen at a dynamic and highly regarded legal firm in the City of London, who are looking for a Compliance Administrator to join their Risk & Compliance team. In this role, you will support the firm's compliance function by managing client onboarding, AML and compliance processes, while working closely with legal teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
The ideal candidate should have experience in legal compliance, client onboarding and AML/CDD within the legal sector, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Support the Risk & Compliance team with client onboarding, AML, sanctions and compliance processes across the firm
- Act as the first point of contact for client onboarding enquiries and general compliance-related queries
- Ensure client and matter risk assessments are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor electronic verification processes, investigate alerts and maintain accurate compliance records and registers
- Assist with file opening, file reviews, annual AML audits and other regulatory compliance activities
- Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes, supporting policy updates and process improvements
- Work closely with legal teams and business functions to promote compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures
- At least 6 months' experience in a legal environment handling client onboarding and AML/CDD matters
- Good understanding of UK AML regulations and legal compliance practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident liaising with colleagues, clients and third parties at all levels
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive team player with a collaborative and professional approach
- Experience within a law firm or legal services environment is highly desirable

Working Style: Hybrid (3 days in the office / 2 days WFH)
