A Japanese manufacturer is currently recruiting a Next-Generation Connectivity R&D Engineer to join its Digital Innovation Research team in West London. The role will focus on applied research and technology development in software-defined connectivity, AI, and digital services, helping transform emerging technologies into globally deployable solutions for future mobility and Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in connectivity technology, cloud platforms, or software-related research and development, together with strong project leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead applied research projects in software-defined connectivity, including technology validation and real-world testing.
- Conduct PoC development for emerging technologies such as Wi-Fi 7, 6G, network APIs, and cloud-based connectivity services.
- Develop technical architectures, documentation, and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate technical feasibility and business value.
- Drive technology maturation and transfer solutions from research environments into global product and engineering teams.
- Manage and operate cloud-based R&D sandboxes.
